It uses regular Steam DRM like almost every other game out there. Also, the main game doesn't have this DRM. _.), so I really don't want to have to deal with shit like this just because I want to play the game. I've gone through three computers in the past four years or so, and my current one is due for a full upgrade from the ground-up (it keeps bluescreening due to a motherboard issue. I like my Steam DRM the way it is, and I don't want anything more restrictive than that. I was literally about to click the purchase button, and then I happened to notice this nonsense ( click here for full size): Yeah, screw that shit. Seeing that Denuvo is a CPU-heavy program, and will bottleneck the game while running its antipiracy protocols, will Arkane do the same? Or is the release of Deathloop going to be the release of Dishonored 2 all over again? It seems only time will tell.Yeah, don't buy it. In Capcom’s case, they ended up removing Denuvo from Resident Evil 8, and this fixed all the issues with the performance of the game. However, it seems that with this fix, the game will tell the player they’re using too much VRAM, despite the previous driver stating that the PC isn’t. As stated in our review for Deathloop, updating the graphics drivers to the most recent version will fix some of the performance issues in the game. With this in mind, it seems like a fix for the PC version of the game is on the way, and while performance issues are happening, there are a few ways to get a temporary fix until the patch comes out fixing the issues.

We’re actively investigating the issue right now as a priority, and will update you with more specific information as soon as possible.”

u/MortalEmporer, the community manager for Deathloop had this to say “regarding performance we are aware of reports that some PC users are experiencing stuttering issues in DEATHLOOP. One of the community managers for Deathloop posted on a joking post about PC issues, chocking the PC version’s poor performance due to some of the food items modeled in the game. However, Bethesda says they’re looking into it, as posted on Reddit. Deathloops reviews have tanked over the technical issues
